Hello Class of '71! After high school I attended Mighigan State, majoring in Communication and Marketing. I have worked in Sales in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for all of my career. For the last 25 years I have lived in the Boston area, relocating to Boston from metro NYC. My current position is in Business Development for a company that manages supermarket loyalty card data. I have been married to Keith Wentzel (Detroit Catholic Central and MSU) for 31 years, and have two children, Kirsten, 23, and Matthew, 16. Keith and I met when he coached my softball team. I love the history in Boston and how close we are to the ocean and the mountains. In my spare time, I love to cook, run, ski and hike. I enjoy road racing and ran my first marathon at age 56. We have Red Sox season tickets and still actively follow the Spartans. |

Hello folks- After High School I attended U of M for undergrad then med school, finishing in 1979. Spent 2 years as a surgery resident at Wm Beaumont Hosp in Royal Oak. Moved to Philadelphia in 1981 to do 3 years of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery training at the Univ of Pennsylvania. Moved in 1984 to the Washington DC area to join a multispecialty group based in DC. Opened my own practice in 1992, based in Arlington. Married Laura, a "tropical girl," in 1987 (she's from Puerto Rico). We have 2 boys: Alexander who will turn 18 in 2 weeks (watch out) and Christopher, who is a special needs child. Although my particular skills were ultimately not needed, I was part of the team in the Emergency Room at our institution, The Virginia Hospital Center, when the 9/11 victims were brought over from the Pentagon. Go Seal Team 6. I've developed an interest in architectural, landscape, and travel photography, and you can see some of my work at the website listed. I also broke down finally and signed up for Facebook. I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and classmates. |

Activities since high school:
After graduating from Michigan State I moved west to Oregon. There I dabbled in a couple of fields (social work and logging) before landing on law enforcement. The Portland Police Bureau provided the opportunity to serve and for 26 years I did everything from uniform patrol to division commander. Michigan always beckoned to me and upon my retirement from the Police Bureau I returned to be with family (dad and two sisters) and to continue my work with the Isabella County Sheriff Department. It has been one year and everything is as good as I remember. My son is still in Portland so my annual trip will be going west instead of heading east to Michigan as I did for so many years (my Portland friends never understood the idea of going to the mid west for a vacation).
