Hello, everyone! After GPNHS, I graduated with a BA in French from the University of Michigan. I married and divorced, and had two wonderful kids in between, now grown, educated and married. I also obtained a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. I am also a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified with the Project Management Institute. I retired from General Motors after 26 years, most recently as an IT Project Manager. I am Secretary of the GPN Class of 1971 50th Reunion Committee. We had a great time at the 40th and 45th class reunions; looking forward to seeing everyone at the next one!

Hello to all classmates from the incomparable GPN class of 1971! Believe it or not, we are coming up on 2021...our 50th anniversary/ reunion. A talented group of your classmates are at work putting together what we all believe will be (another) incredibly good time for you...so keep an eye out for developments.
I have been residing in the Minneapolis area now for over 30 years, and enjoy this area immensely. My wife and I live just a few minutes west of downtown, amongst a wonderful, natural area of woodlands and wetlands... through which storied "Minnehaha Creek" flows.
Retired now after a decidedly "non-traditional" career that encompassed travel industry marketing, financial services (I am a Chartered Financial Consultant), and railroad operations (Warren Buffet's BNSF Railway). It has been quite a journey, let me tell you.
Our daughter and 2 grandchildren live in Denver. As you can imagine, when possible we jet over there to spend some time... (although it never seems to be enough).
Interests of mine include photography (both still and video), travel, cooking, sipping fine wines by the fire, and listening to music on my primo home sound system. Even the drums get a workout now and then... always a blast.
After nearly 50 years, I can't wait to learn what all our other classmates, have been up to. Plan to be at the 50th!

After graduation, I attended Marygrove College obtaining my degree in Biology and found I could not do much with it. I then went on to become a Registered Nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit taking care of classmates parents!
I have been married to Steven Stefani and have 2 children who both graduated from GPN. I still live in GPS and think it is the most awesome community to live in!

Activities since high school:
All my children are grown and I have 5 wonderful grandchildren ranging in ages from 15 years, for the only boy, to 6 yrs old. My oldest daughter, after living around the world now resides in Longview, TX where she grew up. Another daughter lives in Katy, TX and the youngest lives in Wasilla, Alaska. My daughters provide me with great travel experiences. In 2013, I returned to Grosse Pointe Woods, from Anchorage, AK, to care for my Mother after my brother's passing. Now that I have settled in and assisted with some major home repairs, I am starting to look into outside activities. Definitely looking forward to our upcoming Reunion in September. See you then!

Was an art teacher both HS then middle school. Just retired Jan 2015. Live rural on 20 acres, have horses, and raise golden retrievers, garden, sail, bike,. etc. Lots of travelling. Just went to Spain and rode horses for 7 days then toured Madrid!

Activities since high school:
After high school, I lived on the east coast and graduated from Villanova University. I attended Lee Strasberg’s Acting Institute in NY. Later, I taught for five years at the University of Michigan while completing pre-candidate doctoral work. I married and had a family. My Boston University graduate, son, Mark, and wife, Lauren, with a baby on the way and their daughter live in Spokane, WA. Great place to visit! Time spent in Ann Arbor with my Villanova University graduate, daughter, Christine, VU husband Morgan, and three daughters keep me busy. I write novels, fiction, and non-fiction articles, children’s books, and teach college writing and literature. I enjoy friends, traveling, skiing, sailing, fishing, and virtual cooking lessons at the Cordon Bleu in Paris. Recently, I attended Cambridge University, UK, and currently, I am working on my third suspense, thriller novel under the pen name J Lee Burke. Coming soon is a children’s book with my co-author, E Jones, my six-year-old granddaughter. Book signings and discussion panels take me to cities such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D.C, New York, Ann Arbor, and Florida. Out of the country, I presented my suspense, thriller novel, Blackrock Island, in Ireland, and virtually, in the U.S., England, and Canada. I live in GP and enjoy traveling up north, walking the Shore-to-Shore Trail, and glamping with friends. Great memories of GPN!

Activities since high school:
I initially left the Grosse Pointe area and worked in Chicago for 10 years with Northwest Orient Airlines, but came back home to marry my GPN prom date, Gregory Lopetrone and we have stayed ever since. Gregory works for Chryslers in Auburn Hills. We have 3 beautiful adult children. My son Frank works for MetLife in San Francisco, my daughter Karen is an attorney for Shermeta Law Group in Troy and my son Stephen is searching for the perfect fit. We live in Grosse Pointe Woods and our children enjoyed the schools and parks just like I did growing up. I retired from NWA after 30 years in differenct capacities, but continued to work downtown Detroit the last 12 years for Allard & Fish, PC as their Office Manager. Now I am semi retired and we enjoy traveling as much as possible.
