Welcome to the official website for the Grosse Pointe North Class of 1971.
We celebrated our 50th reunion on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club.
134 tickets were sold (100 of those were classmates) and of those we had 118 attend the main event on Saturday night (89 classmates). The entire weekend was beautiful, late summer weather with blue skies and comfortable temperatures for each day we had activities.
If you have pictures to share, please upload them for all to see. Go to the "Photo Albums" link at the left, select the appropriate album and follow the instructions.
Click here to read an article about some of our 1971 football players who were honored at the game Friday night before the reunion.
After everyone left on Sat evening, we found a silver bracelet in the ballroom. It was turned in to the GPYC Lost and Found. If you know anyone missing this item, please pass the word.
On July 14, July 24, August 27, September 4, and October 19, 2021, we sent out five different Mailchimp emails with lots of reunion details. If you did not see them, you may view them here, here, here, here and here. (check your spam folder, too) Also, be sure we have your current email address to receive future mailings.
Check the website frequently for updates and please help us obtain email addresses for all our classmates. We would like to contact as many as possible.
We still need your help finding more classmates. See the list of "Missing Classmates" page -- link is at the left.
If you would like to contribute to our class bank account, we can accept checks made out to "GPN 1971 Reunion Committee. " We can also accept payments through our Venmo account (@GPN1971) and Google Pay (gpnorth1971@gmail.com.)
Contributions will be used to maintain our class website and to help keep the costs down for everyone to attend our 55th reunion in the fall of 2026. See details on our DONATE page to the left.

Many of us received emails and postcards titled "Important Alumni Verification Now Due." Please be assured that we did not give any information to the company contracted by the school system to do this. However, if you have agreed to post your email on our class directory, it's possible the project obtained your email that way. We've been told it is an effort by the GP Public School System to develop a database of alumni. Whether or not you reply to the request is entirely up to you.
