Loving retirement!  We traveled a lot before Covid. Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Finland. Hopefully we will be doing that again very soon.

Activities since high school: 40 years ago, as I was looking forward to college life at University of Michigan, I didn't imagine that I would remain in the Grosse Pointe area. But here I am, within a few miles of where I started!  As of next year, I will have been with my partners at Lakeview Pediatrics for 25 years. It seems likely I will be there many more.  With my son Tommy entering 10th grade, I still have college bills ahead of me. Despite remaining local, I have managed some travel and adventure, and certainly hope to have more.

Activities since high school: I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this reunion committee and working with a really great group of people.  And 40 years is a long time!  I am married to our fellow classmate, Gary Hill.  We started dating when all our friends left us to go away to college and we both attended Wayne State.  We've been married for 35 years, have two great kids, and Gary keeps me laughing each and every day.  Looking forward to seeing you all in May!

Activities since high school: I am a North Grad and a South Dad!  An abridged recap of my journey since June, 1971.  Graduated from MSU in 1975 and then UofD (MBA).  Went to work at Hudson's where I met Cheryl (who worked in the Advertising Dept. there).  We got married in 1980 and still going strong!  We moved to West Hartford, CT when our Son Anthony was two years old, and our other Son Frankie was a newborn.  CT was great for our young Family.  Lots of weekend trips to Boston, NYC, Cape Cod, RI, Vermont/NH/Maine. CT is close to lots of cool places.  From CT we moved to Tennessee (Knoxville), and then to Omaha, Nebraska.  Notable for these two stops; Tennessee - we built a house, and in Nebraska, we lived on a lake way out in the country.  We moved back to our beloved Michigan when the kids were 9 and 7 years old.  We are a baseball and hockey Family, so lots of time spent with the kids growing up, and then at GPS.  I am still involved with the High School programs.  I also have been playing baseball for the last 15 years in the MSBL (Men's Senior Baseball League - Age 45+).  My wife Cheryl has an online business.  I am an Executive Recruiter with Angott Search Group.  Both sons are married with no grandchildren yet.  Anthony and Kendal live on a ridge above Big Sur and Frankie and Cassie live in Gramercy Park in NYC.

Activities since high school: At University of Michigan I earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and at Simmons College I earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science. After several years as a law firm librarian in Boston, I moved to Silicon Valley in 1984 to start a database consulting business, Legal Information Management. Soon after, I met my future husband, Ed on a blind date in San Francisco. Many years later we had a son, Guy, who was carried and delivered by a dear friend from Holland. Ed died in 2019 and I am still working part time and living on Maui with my mother of 106 years. My son, Guy is 22 years old living in Texas.

Activities since high school: After graduating from North, I headed to Michigan State where I earned my degree in accounting. I went to work for the US General Accounting Office--which sounded like accounting but thank goodness, was not! I must have liked it because I stayed 32 years and retired in 2008 as the Director of Information Management Issues (you can probably still find some very dry and boring testimonies that I gave at Congressional hearings somewhere in the far reaches of the web!) and am now a consultant at the MITRE Corporation on government privacy.  I am also studying at Georgetown University to be a leadership coach and expect to be certified this summer.





I met my husband, Dan Koontz, while doing an audit at Kinchloe AFB in 1977 and we married the following year. We moved to our beautiful adopted state of Virginia in 1982. We have two sons who are both out of college and working in the area.





My parents moved away from GPW in 1976 and I have rarely been back. Looking forward to seeing everyone who's planning on attending!

Activities since high school:

After graduation I had the distinction of being number one in the lottery (draft not beer),  bit the bullet and enlisted in USMC, earned an AA at Pepperdine and a BA at Wayne State / met Beth Rinke at an x-mas party when her purse fell into my lap, sort of / married in 81, migrated to Chicago in 83 / lived and worked in the city for American Express Publishing then to New York Times Publishing and Golf Digest until internet bubble took me to Real Media, a technology co. / kids came into the game: Nick in 86, Kristin 88 and Morgan 91/ have a city lifestyle with plenty of travel hockey and soccer and many weekends on the road/ now all three with post graduate degrees / still living in Lincoln Park and enjoy squash and paddle in the winter and golf and skiing in the summer / still love coming to GP to visit family and love trips “up north” in the summer /GPN is a once upon a time era worth revisiting…….see you soon UPDATE; So sorry to miss the 50th, family wedding conflict, got to keep everyone happy......sold home in Chicago during Covid and maintain an apartment there, changed residency to FL where we live 7 months a yr, still hitting the links and now an avid pickleballer (who knew), Nick is married and we've added on GC, Georgia Ann (7months), Kristin and Morgan are living on both coasts ( keeps us in the air visiting) Beth and I will be celebrating 40 in two months,(if I behave myself), we are blessed with good health and family and hope you all are doing well!
