I was so looking forward to seeing Bill at the reunion. He was my Senior prom date.  He was so sweet and caring and always had a smile; he just made you feel good about yourself. He will be missed.

I agree with Mariann, Bill was a really great guy!I remember cheering on the GPN Norsemen footballteam with him. He was on the GPN swim team andI was a Timette, he was a credit to the team.Bill was my GPNHS Junior Prom date. We had agreat time! Those are great memories I won't forget.He will be sadly missed!

Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were in a few classes together and he was always cheerful, humorous, and upbeat......he was that way with everyone......just a real nice guy whose good natured personality was contagious to those who came in contact with him. One of the truly nice people of the class of '71. Rest in peace, Bill.   

I just got back to Grand Rapids from our Class of 1971 Reunion in Grosse Pointe where I heard that Bill had JUST passed away.  Alot of us at his HS reunion were so shocked & saddened when learning about Bill's sudden passing, especially me. Bill  & I had just communicated with each other...I let him know about some old friends of his family that I am presently in contact with. Bill & I were looking forward to seeing each other again.  Please know that Bill had many friends during his HS years at GPN & has always been well remembered & thought of.  A truly kind man.  Mariann Russell Looney
