Such an early age. I will always remember you as the one who passsed notes between myself and your friend for whom we had a mutual crush at Brownelle Jr. High School.
There are many good memories of Mike because he lived two houses away from mine.
His life was way too short.
From Gordon Johnson on March 21st, 2012
A nice guy who went to Mason Elementary, Parcells, and GPN. Mike was a very good athlete and always one of the first chosen for playground or gym class teams. A very soft spoken and quiet person, his life ended much too soon.
Rest in peace, Mike.
From Doug Perry on December 7th, 2011
Played baseball with Mike way back in little league. Big tall lefty. Those were great times.
Renee was my first real girlfriend as short as it was. She has always had a special place in my heart. How young and naive we all were. My folks live just down the block from the Bedards' and I have on occation spoken to Renees' Mother and just this last summer to her sister Francine. I remember Renee as an exciting, inspiring, and warm person and I can still remember making her laugh. What a wonderful but brief moment that was.
Laura, Our parents were friends, which in turn made us friends. You were a brilliant lawyer, and you were taken from us, and from your young son MUCH too early. You are missed greatly by many!
Danny was one of my best friends before I moved from Grosse Pointe. Played all the sports together. Danny would of been a great player. I miss those days, and I miss you.
From Don DeLaura on June 16th, 2011
Danny was one of my best friends in High School. Lots of happy memories. Before the Clems added the addition to their house on Hawthorne, they had a pitching mound and plate set up in the back yard. I remember Johnny hanging around with us at that time..he was probably 9 or 10 then. It was an honor to be one of the pall bearers for Dan. I still think about the good times, forty years later.
From Elizabeth Vigi on February 14th, 2011
It's been 40 years since my brother died and we miss him. It is so nice to hear people remember him and any story is worth hearing. My e-mail is thevg5@aol.com if you have any pictures of Dan or want to reply. Thanks, Betsy.
From Debra Allcut-Jones on January 10th, 2011
Danny, our parents were friends and from the time we were little we played together. But swimming at Parcel's during the winter months was the best. You were my first boyfriend. On the list of the boys I liked in grade school you were #1. You were doing what you loved when you left us, but you will always be loved and remembered. Debbie Allcut
You were always so nice and so much fun in school. I didn't see you at the 40 year reunion and was hoping everything was ok. May God hold you in his hand. Love, Debbie
I was shocked to hear of your death. Gig and I had recently caught up on FB. If anyone knows anything about his death, please let me know. It was so good to see you at the 40th reunion and you said that you resided in TX. We went way back and had many fun times with our friends. You are missed, RIP
Chip, you had a movie star styld shrug. A smile that was all knowing and it was in your eyes as well. What a shame we can't see it now, but one day we will. Till then my friend...TGBTG Debbie Allcut-Jones
Dan was one of my best friends in high school and one of the nicest family ever!

Karl was a very intelligent person who did things his own way and had his own opinions on a number of subjects. I think that he was often misunderstood by others which was unfortunate. For those people who got to know him they found that he was a very interesting individual who had alot to offer. What a tragedy that he passed away so young.
I remember Mike mostly from Parcells Junior High but also from GPN. He was the type who appeared to "march to his own drummer" so to speak....a very intelligent, interesting, and nice guy who "did his own thing" .......an unforgettable classmate. Rest in peace, Mike.
From Dan Holmes on December 15th, 2010
Mike was my friend from Parcells Junor High School. He was an exceedingly intelligent and adventurous guy, with a kind heart. I will always remember him fondly.
Tim was like a brother to me. We were born just days apart. I didn't know him very well in high school but I got to know him very well when he married my wife Margaret's sister. I don't think I have ever met a kinder man in my life. Tim always helped others. He would be happy and proud to know that his two children, Scott and Haley, turned out to be great adults. I think of Tim often.
I'll never forget the airplane rides, rest in peace.

Mimi and I go back to 7th grade at Parcells. We caught up at our 40th reunion and FB, as she resided in St. Louis. She got sick suddenly and passed. I felt so bad about what happened. Rest in Peace, my dear friend!

From Brandon Lastomirsky on February 1st, 2013
I wish you new how special you were...everyone else did. It's weird...you are the only one who people have wrote to/about. You did a good job Ma...I wish you could see me now...I'm doing really good. I help make movies, who woulda known I'd be doing the thing I've always dreamed of doing with my life. :)
I have a son now...his name is Declan (Deck-lin) Alexander Lastomirsky, you'd love him. He looks a lot like you did when you were a baby. Thank you Mom for everything you did for me and taught me...I LOVE YOU.
From Lorryn Glenn on September 24th, 2011
Wow it is amazing what you find when you search the internet! I miss you so much mom! I think about you soo much and wish things could have been different but I know in my heart you are so much healthier now. Bianca cries for you when we are driving and she looks into the clouds! Rj is starting to ask about you, wish he remembered you and Brandons little man never even got a chance to meet you. I love you so much and wish I could just tell you I love you and for your grand babies to be able to see you again, especially Bianca. You were her idol and you two had such a beautiful relationship, thank you for giving her a few years to see what I saw in you when I was her age. Your were everything to me and I am so sorry I couldnt help you! I love you mommy!

Jennifer I just saw the list of memorials yesterday and when I saw you their My heart even broke more. You were always so nice and funny . My prayers are for you and your family I pray for all the souls we have lost since high school.

Jennifer, I'll never know why things went the way they did, because you were incredibly funny and loveable. What an adorable girl you will always be in my memory. We were The Supremes ............God bless......Debbie Allcut
Joe, my heart just breaks with the memory of when you left us. You were gone way too soon and had so much to give. I remember Joker, too, and the great leather jacket!
From Debra Allcut-Jones on January 10th, 2011
We called you Joker and you were more than fun. One of my best memories of GPN was when you and I got into a jello fight in the lunch room. It was in my hair and ruined my dress, but you were just as sticky, if not more. And you looked great in your leather jacket........Think of you everytime I visit GP......Love, Debbie Allcut

I am not sure what happened and why you moved out of town. hope you are at peace and I will always remember our friendship! We always thought it was so funny that so many people thought we were sisters! We even dressed alike. Patsy Bartos Stefani
Jim.....you should have rode out on a motorcycle. I remember when we first met how handsome you were. A daredevil kind of aproach to looking at life. Then I saw you in the grocery store 20 years later and knew something had changed. But you were incredibly nice and always were.
From Michael Lemich on March 9th, 2012
James donated his brain to the Psychiatric Brain Disorder donor program of the Harvard brain tissue bank. The data from such modern research has proven that schizophrenia is now known to unequivocally be a biological disease of the brain, just like Alzheimer's disease and bipolar disorder. For one thing, schizophrenia is now known to be partially caused by genetics and to be inherited. It is this type of scientific knowledge that will one day eventually lead to a cure for this disease.
Gwynne and I go back a long way. Back to grade school. we both played the clarinet and she was always first chair and I was second. I remember when she had her bedroom redecorated...white furniture with pink walls and carpet. We never know what life will bring. I am saddened, but happy that I knew her and had fond memories.
Mahoney. You were such a rebel. In shop class at Brownell, you used to stomp on the storage locks and break them opem. Mr. Fisher was very angry about that. and the other damage you did, but I never ratted you out.
From Christine Boruta Garver on February 9th, 2012
Cathy---we were such great pals @ Brownell. You, Dee Meyer & I were the "Supremes" in your living room. You were taken way too early...I hope your son knows what a wonderful, funny and intelligent Mom he had.
Damn it bro! What happened?? All the stuff we've been through... You just can't be gone. Peace to you forever. Your neighbor, and long-time best friend, Mike

John, your kinder and gentle spirit is forever beloved and missed! Our friendship will always be a treasured memory from our youth.
I was so looking forward to seeing Bill at the reunion. He was my Senior prom date. He was so sweet and caring and always had a smile; he just made you feel good about yourself. He will be missed.
From Marcy Gould Carlson on June 30th, 2011
I agree with Mariann, Bill was a really great guy! I remember cheering on the GPN Norsemen football team with him. He was on the GPN swim team and I was a Timette, he was a credit to the team. Bill was my GPNHS Junior Prom date. We had a great time! Those are great memories I won't forget. He will be sadly missed!
From gordon johnson on June 22nd, 2011
Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were in a few classes together and he was always cheerful, humorous, and upbeat......he was that way with everyone......just a real nice guy whose good natured personality was contagious to those who came in contact with him.
One of the truly nice people of the class of '71.
Rest in peace, Bill.
From Mariann (Russell)Looney on May 30th, 2011
I just got back to Grand Rapids from our Class of 1971 Reunion in Grosse Pointe where I heard that Bill had JUST passed away. Alot of us at his HS reunion were so shocked & saddened when learning about Bill's sudden passing, especially me. Bill & I had just communicated with each other...I let him know about some old friends of his family that I am presently in contact with. Bill & I were looking forward to seeing each other again. Please know that Bill had many friends during his HS years at GPN & has always been well remembered & thought of. A truly kind man. Mariann Russell Looney

I had known John since the fifth grade.....he was a big guy who looked intimidating at first......not a mean bone in his body though....a real nice guy, once you got to know him, with a good sense of humor......he had a way of making kids laugh from the time he was in grade school all the way through high school. You are missed, John.

Your picture is just the way you were in my memory. That same "little stinker" look. Always a face I was happy to see. God bless, Debbie Allcut
Such an intreging face and quiet manly look. I know you were a bright guy and I only wish you were here to see how things have changed..it would have been better with you....
I still remember all the good times we had in our younger years: hunting, fishing, walking and driving to school together, Summer trips and non-sense. Just good times togehter since we were kids: Woods Park, fishing, boating, adventures abounded. You died while ice-fishing and at peace I hope doing what you loved most. I am still in touch with your mother, sisters and kids. Still think of you and miss you every day.
From Joyce Sarrazin-Peralta-Kidd on June 16th, 2011
You were so beautiful, kind and classy. We enjoyed many good times, lots of lunches in the caf. I still think of you when I eat tuna salad....our daily ritual back then. The caf always served it on a bed of lettuce, perfectly round scoop, with a little paprika on top. Your parents were so proud of you...as well they should have been!
I know you were having a hard time living your life. Rest in peace old friend.
